Pay attention to your itinerary

I had a dream last night that I was waiting to board a flight in an airport. I was bored, spending time scrolling around on my phone, just wasting time. I was also very drowsy. Ultimately, I fell asleep sitting at the gate.
I woke up in my dream and the flight had boarded, the doors had shut, and the flight had left without me.
At least that’s what I thought.
I was having some trouble in my dream finding my itinerary. Distraction after distraction occurred, to include trying to find a functional bathroom. That last part is a regularly recurring dream of mine.
I spent the rest of my dream scurrying around trying to determine if I had, indeed, missed my flight. In my dream, I had several moments of sheer frustration when I would catch myself distracted, doing other things. I would angrily chide myself that I needed to find my flight number, to see if the flight had merely changed gates, and that time was of the essence.
I woke and knew I had to write this.
Family, those closest to Jesus kept falling asleep in the garden, thinking they knew the next step in His plan. They didn’t.
We don’t either.
These are distressing times.
Stay awake. Pay attention. Keep looking at His Word for clues, and do not forsake doing the things He did.
To know the things He did, read the first four books of the New Testament. In them you will find that He said:
Follow me.
Love one another.
The world will know you by your love.
And He warned us to be on our guard (Mark 13:9), to stay awake (March 13:23, 33, 35, and 37), and to keep watch (Matthew 24:42).
Kids, please don't miss the message.
Productively use the time while you’re waiting.
Don't fall asleep.
And don’t miss your flight.
